Classes
Lessons only cost £5 each. This means that if you miss a lesson for any reason you do not pay.
Insurance/membership
There is an annual insurance/membership fee of £30 per student. This has to be paid before you can train.
Competitions
Sometimes there are competitions which students may want to enter. These vary in cost, but are often in the region of £15 - £25 per entry.
Clothing
Most students start off training in a Tee Shirt and Tracksuit trousers.
Once you have been training for a while you may want to buy a dobock (uniform/training suit).

As you progress with your training you will need to buy your own protective gear.
The price of protective gear varies. The figures below are only an indication.

Gradings
There is a £20 charge for students who wish enter a promotion grading examination. Successful candidates are entitled to wear a different coloured belt for each grade achieved.
Having been through the different grades, and after years of training, students may wish to enter a grading for black belt. These gradings are run by the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB) and 1st Dan gradings currently (01/01/2008) cost £120.
